One thing that has become apparent in the last year is that the Makers have brutal creative potential and above-average problem-solving skills. But when they want to monetize those skills, they often get stuck, get bored and don't know how to advance.

At this table we will talk with Makers who have taken the step and who will tell us about their experience throughout the process, from how they got the initial financing, how they built the team or how they went on the market to make a living from their project.



Xavier Crespo

Xabier Crespo Álvarez (Co-founder of SC Robotics). Xabier is a telecommunications engineer by training with extensive experience as a consultant in embedded systems. At SC Robotics, a company dedicated to the design of electronic devices, he is dedicated both to technical tasks and project management, as well as to commercial and product management tasks. He is also one of the founders of the Asociación Tecnológica A Industriosa and current Vice President, which manages the first maker space in the city of Vigo. He also collaborates with the Libre Space Foundation and is one of the promoters of the free Polaris project, which aims to analyze satellite data using Artificial Intelligence.


Tomás Lóbez

Tomás is a social entrepreneur and designer. In 2018 he founded Nixi for Children to accompany children in the process of preparing for an operation. Through informative virtual reality experiences they help patients prepare with their families and thus reduce their anxiety. Three years after its creation, the Barcelona-born social enterprise already works with multiple hospitals in Spain and continues to grow day by day to help patients from all over the world.



Pilar Vila

CEO and Co-founder of Forensic & Security, a company focused on cybersecurity and IT expertise. Chief Security Envoy of Telefónica Eleven Paths, a recognition of professional work in the field of cybersecurity. Author of the book by the publishing house 0xWord: "Computer Forensic Analysis Techniques for Professional Judicial Experts". Professor of Computer Forensics in different Security masters, currently at the UCLM and at the universities of A Coruña and Vigo. Speaker at cybersecurity and legaltech events.



Inés Lusquiños

Agricultural engineer specialized in environmental engineering. She currently develops her professional work in the field of circular economy, bringing the principles of this new model to waste management. Likewise, she has been linked to the Galician entrepreneurial ecosystem since 2015, as part of the board of the Startup Galicia association: an association created by entrepreneurs whose objective is to make the Galician context increasingly favorable to the creation of new startups.
