David Buceta and the renewable hydrogen revolution

The renewable hydrogen revolution is here! And one of the leading companies in this transformation is HySun, a 'joint venture' created by Nanogap and Tewer Engineering that has developed a new solution to produce 100% renewable, clean, ecological hydrogen with no CO2 emissions.

HySun's solution is capable of producing renewable hydrogen at a price of 1 euro per kilogram, compared to the price of 5 euros for green hydrogen, making it the "cheapest" renewable hydrogen on the market. In addition, its technology of photo-thermo-catalysts and concentrated solar energy allow the creation of sustainable and renewable energy solutions for companies and individuals.

David Buceta, CTO of Nanogap, joined the company in 2022 and has led the HySun project ever since. Prior to that, he was a long-term scientific advisor and collaborator of Nanogap in his postdoctoral role at the University of Santiago de Compostela. He has also been a visiting researcher at the Technische Universität Berlin, Germany; Brookhaven National Laboratory, New York, USA; and Nagoya University, Japan. He is the author of more than 60 international publications and 7 patents.

On June 1, as part of the Maker Faire 2023 industry day, we will have the opportunity to listen to David Buceta, CTO of Nanogap and leader of the HySun project, explain how they are revolutionizing the hydrogen production market with the combination of two disruptive technologies: photo-thermo-catalysis and concentrated solar power.

We will have the future of energy this year at the Maker Faire Galicia, don't miss it!
