The Maker Faire Galicia, which will be held from June 1 to 4, in a hybrid format, at the Gaiás Museum of the City of Culture, has closed this week the call for makers, where more than 70 projects were received both nationally as international.

In addition to this selection of projects, which will be revealed in the coming weeks on the event's website, the organization has begun to advance some of the most outstanding content of the conference. In them there will be both national and international references in the fields of STEAM education, artificial intelligence, art, video games, biotechnology, energy, scientific dissemination or inclusive innovation.

The Industry conference, which will take place on June 1 in the morning and afternoon, will include, among others, the presence of Dimitris Petrotos, Greek architect, founder of Solomon Ears and 3dsGR, inventor of the 11 mm board, the Medusa Bungalow and creator of Laddroller, an electric wheelchair resulting from a hybrid between an exoskeleton and a wheelchair. In addition to Dimitris, this day will be completed with two tables, one on artificial intelligence and the other on biotechnology, and will close with the presentation of a very exciting project in the field of energy.

The specific conference dedicated to the field of education, which will take place on June 2, will include, among others, the presence of Samu, a 13-year-old Maker from Gondomar known as the prince of graffiti, and the scientific disseminator Eva Cabanelas. In addition to them, a table will be held in the field of inclusion, with several references at the national level, as well as the presentation of one of the IOT projects, carried out by students, the most outstanding and most awarded in recent years.

During the open days, which will be held on June 3 and 4 and will be aimed at all audiences, in addition to being able to interact with the best projects of the maker ecosystem at an international level, numerous talks and workshops will be held, which will be progressively revealed by the organization.
