Designer specialised in Interior Design and Window Dressing, since she was a child she always liked ‘to put in order and improve the aesthetics of two spaces that surrounded her’, all her baggage is related to the world of design, having more than 20 years of experience in the sector.
After 10 years, in 2019 she decided to start a new business, creating her brand SPACIOB and ou Teu GUSTO, to dedicate herself fully to her passion, ‘to design and create ambience in spaces’. That same year she met Sandra and Isabel, and given their interest in being able to collaborate in their interior design projects with other artisans and create synergies, they began to shape a new project ‘Creativas Galegas’, a collective space which opened its doors in Santiago de Compostela in 2020.
After graduating in molecular biology in 2005, Isabel's mind was divided between pursuing a scientific career or being self-employed and starting a cultural project.
Her career as an entrepreneur in the cultural and creative field won the battle, so, after 10 years of working as an employee, in 2015 she decided to start her own business.
First she did it with her husband and brother-in-law, to create two illustration brands: Quenindiola and Paripepop.
When she met Bea and Sandra she decided to start again, collectively, and to make Creativas Gallegas possible.
She is the third leg of this project but today she cannot join us and will be replaced by another of the brands that have formed and supported this collective from the beginning: Gala!
What started as a hobby, thanks to the presence of Creativas Gallegas, ended up becoming a professional project.
Desiree is the person behind the brand La con Agarimo. Wherever this entrepreneur stops for more than two seconds, she takes out of her magic bag the three basics that always accompany her: knitting needles, spools of wool and coffee. This is how Desiree started out, knitting in cafés, on the bus, in a park, in a hospital waiting room... This led her to some curious situations, such as when the shawl she was making for pleasure ended up being sold in the hospital waiting room itself, or when she was asked to make another one just like the one she was making in the cafeteria.
Nowadays she is the master of needles in Creativas Gallegas and we say master because she not only knits and sells her own products but also gives training on knitting.
